The Dangers of Playing a Joke — on Yourself

Posted By startswithanx on November 9, 2009

I do a lot of things with myself. Talk with myself. Have sex with myself. I recently discovered I even joke with myself.

On a whim, I filled out an online application for a job I stumbled across the other day. This is the conversation I had with Jake that night.

Me: Ya know that application I told you I filled out? Well, I kinda screwed it up.

Jake: What do you mean?

Me: I put one million dollars as my desired salary.

Jake: Why would you do that?

Me: It was a joke. I just forgot to delete the joke.

Jake: Who were you joking with? … Yourself?

Me: (Realizing for the first time that was indeed the case) Yeah and myself thought it was hilarious. Until myself realized I took the joke too far.

Whacking myself in the head, however, is much easier than giving myself a noogie so I guess it worked out for both me and myself in the end.

That is hilarious! What I want to know is what “job” you currently have to be making 1 million dollars. MUAH HA HA HA!

  2. There is nothing wrong with reaching for the stars, but maybe not on a job application. Did they ever call you back?

Wouldn’t it be nice if they called you for an interview, though?
